India is set to auction 3G (third generation ) and WiMax radio waves in January 2010. Foreign firms can also bid for the auction given the terms that after winning the bid foreign company has to form a joint venture with a local firm with a maximum of 74% stake in the joint venture.
Reports are there that the search engine king google may also place the bid for the wimax auction or chances are that google may become technology partner to a telecom service provider.
